Kate, I think they're looking pretty sweet. One thing you might want to consider (and there's no need to approach this if you don't feel like doing the extra work) is to maybe do a small surrounding area of the spots in wallpaper. Then you could use some of the color in the wallpaper within the portraits and tie everything together/ brighten it up a bit. I don't know. I still think they look pretty sharp.

Maybe you'd like to add some nice splotchy washes to their clothing or their backgrounds in the frames?
Some dark darks... Contrast... Something.....
