Really great work on the people, although you should design them in such a way that they can "float" within the text space in the article. I like the intro page text. It gives a great feeling of weight to the dirt. Using any colors besides walnut? Looking good.
i think your strongest pieces are of red buttons and coretta king, though the others are nice as well. Those two have a very delicate quality to them that make them very pleasing to the eye. im not so sure i agree about the text because it seems a little messy and has no particular style to it. maybe it would help to look at a real font to get some ideas from. i feel like the text could use the delicacy that coretta and red have in their portraits to make it a little more pleasing to the eye. nice work overall though, you use ink wash very well, and very beautifully in many places. -ashley
