okay, i redid them all, i wasn't sure if you would have preferred me to just fix my old ones or come up with a new idea so i just changed them completely. im gonna rework the slinky spot because i dont really like the angle, its a little plain, but thats the idea for the third spot. also im a little hesitant with the background in the 7x9 because im not sure if it would be too narrative to put something. any suggestions would be great.

Sketches

Here are my sketches, the concept is that these are things people do at home... the cover is a building, and you can look inside the windows and see what is going on. because they are in russian here are the translations... the first one is bul', which is the sound of something boiling, or of bubbles, the second one is top top, which is the stomping sound, the third is zvyak, what metal against metal sound like.

Im not sure about the full page it’s a little boring so I will probably add more. The two spots I am ok with for now, the one with the chainsaw I think I might change to something that’s not Leatherface, maybe a lumberjack.

i seem to have misplaced my individual spot illustrations, but i was able to scan the full page...although i am not done playing with the colour yet... also the colours are supposed to be neon, but i had some trouble with scanning the image in so the colours didn't show up correctly. anyways, i will try and post the spot illustrations asap.

these are my pieces so far. i don't have much to say about them except that i'm pretty excited about the full page, and less about the spots. there is really no theme to these besides all relating with words and sounds, but i anticipate them being cohesive in technique and style. on that note, i didn't color the splash page, but i think i'm going to keep the images in black and white, and add some sort of wash in the background to divide them...i'm open for suggestions...

my theme is nature. the title page scanned wierd. sorry. it doesnt actually have that horizontal line and shift in tone. im just bad at using computers.
