these are my pieces so far. i don't have much to say about them except that i'm pretty excited about the full page, and less about the spots. there is really no theme to these besides all relating with words and sounds, but i anticipate them being cohesive in technique and style. on that note, i didn't color the splash page, but i think i'm going to keep the images in black and white, and add some sort of wash in the background to divide them...i'm open for suggestions...

I really like the rish drawing, also. I don't think that the girl or dinosaur are really sensational at this point.
i agree. in those 2 spot ills the way the words are written are pretty awesome, but the overall look is not as great as it could be. i think with the dinosaur and the girl it's just size or placement. it looks off balance, maybe. i say that cause the fish one is very balanced with the word underneath the figure instead of jutting out from it and it looks damn good that way.

i agree with everyone else, the 7x9 looks really awesome. i love how its a huge mass of things tapering down to a pencil. the fish drawing is excellent too, but i agree with what sam and danny said about the spots. though i think the way you have the speech bubble for the dinosaur is very nice. i think if they weren't next to such awesomeness it wouldn't be a problem! they need to match the awesomeness of the 7x9 and the fish spot. also, i dont think whisper is an onomatopoeia. but there's definitely a way to spell that out that is an onomatopoeia.

Yeah I'm on board with the others on this. Full page is GREAT. Fish is GREAT. Dino (sound) is so very close to GREAT. Whisper girl is..meh. Add a dash of triple fish energy.
