Nintendo Wii and Garmin GPSMap 60CSx

Finals will be in gouache and ink and all that. I'll probably still have the ink lines blue in the finals, but we'll see. I'm probably going to enlarge the two main figures in the GPS illustration and cut them off mid-thigh so you can get more of a closeup. I may have cropped the Wii image a little close to the people's knees, too, so I might bring that up. I worked for awhile on reversing the compositon on the Wii piece (there's a little thumbnail there) so get more information on the gadget, but I think highlighting the Wii remote is enough. Thoughts?

these are pretty cool. I just wanted to say that I think you should go with the initial Wii compostion. I think the Wiimote is iconic enough that it won't be a problem. Also, the colors are really giving everything a nice wintery feel, good job on that.

..is that the same couple in the bg of the wii piece as in the gps?

Yeah, I'm sticking with the initial Wii composition. It's just more interesting.

Also, yeah, I drew that couple in the background of the Wii piece and then wanted to draw them again, so I did.

I like the sassy look on the girl's face in the Wii piece.

For the GPS piece, I wonder if the two full-body panels are too static or something. The two people kind of look like they're next to each other, but just haven't noticed yet.

Great job, Sam! Nice early posting too. Your couples are also just great. I agree that to look on the girl's face is fantastic. I think you've got a real handle on the Wii piece. The gps one is nice but I'm not sold on it yet. Do you think you could maybe do it in one panel? I think it would match the other one better that way. Maybe you could have one of them hiding and the other one about to find them. Really good sketches!
